| 2018 molekyl gallery, Malmö, Sweden >> works 2018 2021 Virserum Konsthall, Virserum, Sweden 2023 mp43 Projektraum für das Periphere, Berlin Marzahn_Hellerdorf "Generator" is a collaborative art project that aims to enter into an art-related exchange with the neighborhood of the project location. This is done by requesting that items that are no longer needed be made available to the project team for further processing. This can e.g. B. Photos, books, magazines, toys, clothing, computers, board games, various cables, etc. Things that you don't actually need anymore, but that you haven't parted with yet. These contributions are used artistically, brought into new contexts and changed. At the end of the work process, they become part of the overall installation. The aim is to include both the gallery space itself and the immediate surroundings and residents. Until the exhibition opens, the artists will use the gallery as a workplace and studio. The process and results of artistic processing can be constantly visited and observed by visitors. This creates a communicative process with those involved who would otherwise not have intensive contact with current art. During the work process, a site-specific installation is created with works that are developed together, consisting of sound elements, objects, drawings, prints and other different techniques and materials. The possibilities of what will happen are unlimited, open in all directions and part of the process. |
