portable (or carrying art as burden and pleasure)

I made portable objects out of paper, wire and paint. The colored objects are fastened with different carrying devices such as handles, straps and belts, making them easily transportable. They can be strapped on ones back like rucksacks or carried like handbags.
These objects are carried by different persons in every day situations. Market square, train station, pedestrian zones are the stages for the carrier and the object. This takes them out of the rigid framework of the museum and through the carrier can be seen by anyone he happens to meet. The art is mobile and can arrive at any conceivable place.
So this way Marcel Duchamps ideas of elevating every day objects by presenting them in a museum is turned on its head: art is carried into every day life.
